This remote controller is geared towards an Android HTPC, but you can also use it under Windows, MAC and Linux. So if you're a Linux user like we do, then yes! You could use it to navigate and control your Linux-based HTPC or Media Center PC like Kodi (AKA XBMC).
This remote would be best for someone who's looking for an all-in-one, compact and Linux-compatible remote control.
It runs on two Triple A batteries (AAA), though these don't come with the unit so you need to provide yourself.
When holding the remote, it's quite large when comparing it to a standard remote, but not of a big difference.
A user posted on the MINIX Forum and said that this unit is the best remote control he had ever used with the MINIX Neo X8-H. He said that the A2 Lite works perfectly with the X8-H straight out of the box, just by plugging the USB receiver and you're off to go.
On the front you'll see the Android Logo as this is geared towards Android devices. Along with the logo, is the back button for navigating and 4 big and nice looking directional pad, volume and media buttons down the bottom. See reference image below.

The keyboard has alternate key operation feature that you can activate using the function button (Fn). You'd see the full QWERTY keyboard layout when you flip over the remote.

The function button (Fn) doesn't require a "press & hold" operation. For instance, you wanted to key in "Dollar Sign", then just press Fn then F, so only one-hand would be needed instead of both.

When using this with Android device, you can use the built-in microphone and speaker to invoke voice commands.
Another nice thing about this HTPC remote is, it doesn't require additional drivers/software to make it work on Windows, MAC or Linux. You simply plug the receiver dongle to one of your HTPC's USB port.
This Minix model has an Air Mouse feature which should be actived when the cursor button is pressed. The button is conveniently located underneath the control pad. You should be able to move the mouse cursor around the screen when this functionality is activated. Similar to what you can do with a Nintendo WII remote control. This feature makes Android Box simpler to control, especially when navigating through sideloaded apps. It's one great feature to have on Media Center and HTPC remote control.
Sideloaded Apps typically means Apps installed via an application package in APK format. Such package are usually downloaded from another repository or website other tan Google Play.
The Minix Neo A2 Lite has the following key features.
The Minx Neo A2 is beautifully packed and gives a real sense of quality, as you remove it from the box.
