The SD-RP1002-GDW-O-4P repeater system boosts mobile signal for 4G (LTE-1800Mhz), 3G, and voice calls. This remarkable system was designed and made to bring the amplified mobile signal to any ships, boats, yachts, etc. It can cover an area of 4000M2. This model when compared to the "SD-RP1002-GDW-O" system, is almost the same, when it comes to signal coverage and appearance. Both models supports 4G (LTE) at 1800MHz frequency, and also for GSM Voice and 3G Data. The very obvious thing present in this model that is not on the SD-RP1002-GDW-O is the 4-port indoor antenna connector. That said, this system is more capable of covering a larger area of a ship, like on a multi-deck/storey ships or huge cruise liner.
The indoor antenna serves as a mini cellphone tower or base station inside the ship. It transmits the amplified mobile signal coming from the repeater system. Each indoor antenna, theoretically, can cover an open area of 1,000 square meters.

How The Ship Repeater Works
The SD-RP1002-GDW-O-4P MarineBoost 3.4 (3 bands 4 port) mobile phone signal booster for ships, is ideal for large ships, boats, and yachts. The high-gain omnidirectional antenna is installed high up on the ship to receive the signal in all directions. SD400 low-loss coaxial cable runs from this antenna (the receiver antenna) down inside the ship to where the repeater is located.
Four interior panel antennas are connected to the repeater and can be placed in four separate locations inside the ship. One antenna is connected directly to the repeater for coverage in that location. The other three antennas can be extended to other locations within the ship using the supplied 3 X 15m cables (SD240).
These three cables are narrower and are easy to install.
Total internal coverage: 4 X 1000m2 = 4000m2.
The repeater is then plugged in. That’s the installation done.
When your ship passes within ~30Km of any mobile tower on the land, the booster system will receive this signal and amplify it into the four areas of your ship, boats or yachts.

- ** - The uplink amplifiers switch off when the repeater is not in use, thus, reducing the uplink noise to almost zero. When the repeater is in use (eg: phone call being made), the uplink amplifier switches on for the duration of the call and a blue LED switches on, indicating this is the case.
