WAN Bonding Routers

Bond multiple internet links for faster, more resilient connectivity with WAN Bonding Routers. These specialized devices are ideal for offices, remote sites, vehicles, or temporary deployments—anywhere consistent, high-speed access is essential.

By intelligently combining multiple Internet sources—such as Fibre, DSL, Cellular, Wi-Fi, or even Starlink, WAN or Internet bonding routers create one unified data stream with greater throughput, seamless failover, and dependable uptime.

Whether you’re battling poor rural coverage or juggling bandwidth from different ISPs, WAN Link Aggregation or WAN bonding gives you the power to stay online and perform at full speed.

Let’s take a closer look at how this aggregation process works behind the scenes.

How Aggregation or Bonding Works?

Think of your Internet links as separate water hoses filling the same bucket. One hose alone fills slowly; two together fill twice as fast—but you have to keep them aligned. Bondix by SIMA is like a magic connector that fuses all your hoses into a single super-hose, sending water (your data) down every path at once.

Behind the Scenes:

  1. Your Teltonika router runs the Bondix client, which splits each data packet across all available WAN links.
  2. On the Internet, a Bondix “bonding server” collects those pieces and reassembles them before delivering to their destination.

You can self-host that bonding server on any VPS or cloud instance, or if you’d rather skip setup hassles — we offer a fully managed Bondix Tunnel service. Note that not every Teltonika router supports Bondix today, and models beyond the ones listed below may gain support in future firmware updates.

Who Is It For?

Bondix by SIMA is ideal for anyone who needs more than “just one link”:

  • Remote offices that suffer periodic downtime on primary ISP.
  • IoT deployments pulling telemetry from multiple sensors across flaky links.
  • VoIP, video conferencing and VPN users demanding low latency & zero-drop sessions.
  • Mobile or pop-up venues (events, kiosks, food trucks) needing reliable connectivity.

Beyond pure speed-up, Bondix delivers:

  • Intelligent Load-balancing and Automatic Failover.
  • Session persistence so downloads and VPN tunnels never drop.
  • Packet duplication and latency smoothing for jitter-sensitive apps.

Because Bondix requires hosting the bonding server, there is an additional service fee (monthly or yearly) on top of your Teltonika router purchase. This small investment cures major pain points—unpredictable bandwidth, session interruptions, and uneven performance—so your connectivity just works.

Does It Require Additional Cost?

To get Bondix up and running you’ll need two things:

  1. Bonding Server: Host your own VPS/cloud instance (you cover the server fees), or subscribe to our All-In-One Bondix Tunnel Service.
  2. Bondix License: A software license per router, renewed annually. Prices varies depending on license type based on maximum throughput.

What Is All-In-One Bondix Tunnel Service?

With this all-inclusive option, you only worry about choosing your Teltonika router, everything else is handled for you.

  • Eliminates setup, renewal and administration overhead.
  • Includes server hosting, Bondix license, software updates, maintenance and 24/7 monitoring.
  • Subscription options (monthly or yearly) under one simple plan, contact us for details and pricing.

Do They Really Bond?

You’ve likely asked, “Are these routers really doing bonding?” or perhaps searched for "routers that genuinely bond". Maybe you’re skeptical, and rightly so, about promises that sound too good to be true.

At Novatel Communications Ltd., we understand that skepticism. That’s why we combine robust Teltonika hardware with the powerful Bondix client to deliver true channel bonding, far beyond simple load-balancing.

Here’s what that means for your business:

  • Unleash Single-Session Speeds: Experience packet-level aggregation that pushes individual session speeds beyond the capacity of any single internet link.

  • Uninterrupted Connectivity: Enjoy instant failover, ensuring your critical applications stay online even if one WAN path drops.

  • Proven Performance: Real-world tests demonstrate significant gains – for example, combining a 50 Mbps DSL with 50 Mbps 4G delivers nearly 100 Mbps on a single download.

This isn’t marketing talk, it’s measurable performance, ideal for VoIP, seamless video conferencing, rapid data backups, and more.
