The RE305 brings you a stable wireless networking experience, with up to 300Mbps data rate under the 2.4GHz frequency band, and a speed of up to 867Mbps in the 5GHz frequency band. Fast enough to stream HD, UHD, or even 8K video content inside your local area network.
You can easily extend your network either through ethernet or wireless means. So yeah, this extender can both act as a wifi access point and extender.
It comes with a similar feature to that of the TL-WA850RE, which has a LED signal light indicator, that helps you find the best possible location to place the extender in. A Blue LED light indicates a good Wi-Fi connection between the RE305 and your main router.
